Imago Vita Workshop ~

So, last weekend I took a little adventure.  By myself.  Without husband.  Without children.  Now, one might think this isn't a big deal, but it is for me.  First off, I had no idea where I was going.  Aaron gave me directions and I had to get there!  This is not something I like to do.  I depend on Aaron to get me places and I look at FB on my phone.  Talk to the kids.  Sing Veggie Tales.  Anything but pay attention to where we are headed.  I am proud to announce -  I MADE IT!  No wrong turns.  No scary convenient store stops.     I am still capable of going out on my own!  Very proud moment!!!

Anyway, I went to a workshop held by the VERY talented Shannon Phillips of Imaga Vita Photography. The thought of going into a room with 12 other photographers didn't make me nervous at all.  I am not a shy person (I know some of you are laughing at the thought of me being shy).  It was lovely.  I enjoyed myself.  Wonderful food!!  BUT then we had a "practice" shoot.  I had to shoot in front of all these talented photographers.  I started sweating.  Wondering if I should go inside and eat some leftover cake balls from lunch.  Possibly just leave and get home before dark (to be safe ya know).    It was horrible.  I made it in the end and it wasn't that bad.  I think I forgot to meter my light.  And I probably rambled to the models too much.  But it could've been worse!

I'm so very grateful to my family and friends for all of their encouragement.  Especially Aaron, Brax and Madi who loaded up Sunday morning after such a long weekend to ride with me to an out of town shoot so I wouldn't have to go without seeing them another day!  You all mean the world to me and I couldn't do it without you.  Love you all ~ Michele

Just For Fun {Amber}

This is Amber - good friend of mine and aunt to Miss Savanah (previous post).  When I saw this gorgeous turquoise wall I knew I needed a picture of the green chair by it.  Savanah was just about done with us so Amber was kind to humor me!  :)

Speaking of the green chair...we have no idea who it belongs to.  Found it near an abandoned building.  I hated to just take it home...so I left it.  If its still there when I go back it was meant to be mine.  Right??  I've been thinking about it.  Dreaming about it.  Trying to find time to drive by...

I believe at this point I said "Well, hello Robin".  Which is her mother (if you don't know).  She looks exactly like her.  More so every time I see her!!!

New Website~

So, the website is finally up and going...Thanks Aaron!  A few changes will be made over the next few days, but overall its ready!  Can you believe it?  Am I the only one SHOCKED that its finished?  I would love to hear your feedback!  Check it out...

Treasures, once again...

Well, some of you may want to know what Aaron does on these little outings to places like the Dog Trade...well, here ya go!  My sister caught this prime moment on her iphone.  I seem to think that I look out for his best interest...I bought something for him to sit down on.  I clearly let him go to sonic before.  Its a win, win...right?

He's not a "reader" of my blog...so maybe if I start posting pictures and stories about him it will make him more interested!  You think????

New Stuff...

I've been working on a few new products, marketing materials, etc. for the upcoming Fall season.  Check out the new business cards!  What do you think?  I'm (Aaron) also working on the website...keep praying its up and going in the next few weeks.

FINALLY - a new post!!!!

Good morning!  I'm still alive~do I still have any readers???  

I finally finished school.  Started a new part-time job.  Braxton started school.  Madilyn started Mother's Day out.  Busy few weeks!  Now, my focus is back on photography and I need your help.  I'm working on my "watermark" and text for my new website that is in the works.  Here is an example of the text we like so far....what do you think?
